Christina Scabbia vs. Sharon den Adel
This smackdown features 2 beautiful ladies from the European metal scene. It's the Italians vs. the Dutch as Lacuna Coil's Christina Scabbia takes on Within Temptation's Sharon den Adel. Which one of these heavy metal ladies has the brutal beauty to win your vote?
Christina Scabbia
Christina Scabbia, June 6, 1972 in Milan, Italy, is one of 2 vocalists in the Italian metal group Lacuna Coil. Aside from her career as a singer/songwriter, Christina is a columnist for the rock magazine Revolver. Originally employed to sing backup vocals for Lacuna Coil's original demo tape, the band (and their original following of fans) enjoyed having both male and female vocals so much, that they asked Christina to stay on as a permanent member. Scabbia is the only female to receive a "Metal Icon" award at the annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.

Born on July 12, 1974 in Waddinxveen, South Holland, Sharon den Adel is best known for being the lead singer, co-songwriter and founding member of the Dutch symphonic rock/metal band Within Temptation. Sharon's vocal talent is one of the main driving factors behind the band's "symphonic" sound, though she admits to having never taken vocal lessons. Before starting Within Temptation with long time partner Robert Westerholt, Sharon worked in design for a fashion company. Though she is now a full-time musician, she still manages to put her design skills to good use by creating the band's merchandise and artwork.
