Elsa Benitez is a Mexican supermodel who was born and raised in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. She got her start modeling in 1995 when she won an international model search held in Costa Rica. Soon afterwards, modeling opportunities opened up for her in Mexico (where she started her career), the Unites States and Europe. In 1996, Elsa appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue 3 times before signing with Elite Model Management. In 2001, Elsa appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and has appeared in the publication 5 times since her debut. Elsa has also taken acting lessons and hopes to enter the film industry soon, appearing in both Spanish and English films.

Kari Byron, born and raised in San-Francisco, is an artist and TV personality, best known for her role as a Build Team member on the Discovery Channel's Mythbusters. Kari graduated from San Francisco State University in May of 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Sculpture. Kari got her start on Mythbusters when she showed up at Jamie Hyneman's workshop (M5 Industries) and expressed a strong desire to help his company. On her first day as a paid employee, she was asked to help with the "airplane vacuum toilet" myth, where she had to have a cast of her buttocks made. This later led to her stating (jokingly) that she was "hired just for her butt." As an artist, Kari is into making sculptures and portraits and, before her career as a Mythbuster, had her art displayed at several exhibitions.
