Jack Nicholson as The Joker vs. Heath Ledger as The Joker
Why So SERIOUS?
The Ultimate Smackdown has arrived. Two versions of Batman's nemesis- the deranged, psychopathic, and even comical Joker- have been portrayed by both Jack Nicholson and the late Heath Ledger.
But who did it better?
Thats for you to decide.
Jack Nicholson as The Joker
Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the irritatingly happy villain of Batman in "Batman" directed by Tim Burton left anyone watching with a sudden phobia of clowns. The stretched grin emphasized by over-the-top makeup gave us the evil antagonist, The Joker, that only Jack Nicholson could pull off to make extremely destructive, sinister, and creepy.

Heath Ledger's performance of The Joker as Batman's rival in 2008's "The Dark Knight" was nothing short of phenomenal. He was both mesmerizing and terrifying as the deranged criminal genius who outsmarted the billionaire Dark Knight.

RIP Heath
So sorry to see him go, Heath Ledger conquered the part of The Joker in the latest Batman movie. (Sorry Jack.) His performance definitely deserves a posthumous Oscar, I hope it happens.
