Marky Mark vs. Vanilla Ice
Which white-boy music sensation topped your charts in the 90's? Did Mark leave his Mark? Or was Vanilla your flavor?
Marky Mark
Marky Mark, real name Mark Wahlberg, was the leader of the 1990's musical group "Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch". Their song, "Good Vibrations" topped that charts. He was also known as a model, appearing in many popular Calvin Klein advertisements that featured white underwear and rock hard abs. Later in his career he turned to acting using his real name rather then his super-cool funky bunch name.
Pros: Good Vibrations!!!! And you could wash clothes on his tummy!
Cons: No guy that looks that good is ever straight.

Vanilla Ice, born Robert Van Winkle, is the most famous one-hit-wonder in rap. His song "Ice Ice Baby" stole music from David Bowie's "Under Pressure" without giving any writing credits to Bowie. Vanilla Ice claimed publicly that there were no similarities between the two songs, even though it was obvious to the most oblivious listener that the two tracks sounded the same. Over the years Ice was credited with stealing musics from several different artists, stealing lyrics from a fraternity and writing a false autobiography claiming he grew up as a gang member in a mostly black area. After his year of fame was up, Vanilla spent years trying to win back his fame with a succession of crappy albums and appearances on reality TV.
Pros: He tries really really hard..
Cons: ..but usually without success, and the successful moves aren't his.
