Yelle vs. Uffie
It's time for a battle between 2 lovely young French electro/pop artists who rose to stardom via that magical "series of tubes" better known as "the internet." Who will be queen bee of the French club scene? It's up to you to decide! Also, make sure you check out some of their music, they're both awesome!
Yelle
Yelle (born Julie Budet on January 17, 1983 in Saint-Brieuc, Bretagne, France) is a French singer/songwriter who gained popularity in 2005 through MySpace when she released a song entitled "Short Dick Cuizi" which was apparently aimed at dissing a member of Parisian hip-hop group TTC. She released a debut album (entitled Pop-Up!) featuring her single "Je Veux Te Voire" which is actually a finalized version of her original hit, sampling the bassline from 20 Fingers' 1994 club hit Short Dick Man. With this album, she has received heavy airplay on MTV and is continuing to gain popularity stateside. "Je veux te voire dans un film pornographique!" ...instant classic!
